1. We are proud to welcome brother Noam into the Woodhuck hall of fame
It is a mighty challegne to recognize all the true woodhucks out there, wherever they may be and whatever walk of life they may occupy.

3. Isn't Chomsky in favor of anarcho-Syndicalism? Given that he truly favors a system

that is not reflected in either side of the "Woodchuck" paradigm I would think his opinion would be immaterial to the question at hand.

36. Who says that the woodchuck doesn't concern himself with labor?
And who says that his paradigm is only two-sided? Learn more about the woodchuck's worldview, friend. That is my advice to you.

16. Then you should be active in your support of the French
paying Haiti back the money they extorted, and the President should also join that list of those calling for the return of the funds. That is the Chomsky news of today, what he is doing today, and if you are allies, how are you going to support that current effort? In fact, why are you not focused on that justice making movement right now? It is almost as if you and Noam have nothing in common at all. Makes a person wonder. He's in the news today. This very day.

60.  I'm reminded of the scene in Annie Hall
where Marshall McLuhan tells the pretentious guy in line at the movie theater that "you knows nothing of my work."

If you knew anything at-all of Noam Chomsky's work you'd know that he's rather diametrically opposed to your values and if there is even the appearance of commonality of approach, it's about as likely that its' incidental as it is that it's the result of you miscomprehending.

So you don't stand with Noam Chomsky. You simply wish to use him as a device of argument.

are praising Noam Chomsky an avowed Socialist. Who are you kidding... Here let's see how you really like some of Chomsky's views:

Here's Noam calling out Obama on his "imperialist policies"

http://dandelionsalad.wordpress.com/2010/06/12/noam-chomsky-obamas-imperialist-policies/

Oh here he is calling Obama out on foreign policy:

http://www.democracynow.org/2010/3/15/noam_chomsky_on_obamas_foreign_policy

OOH.. Here he is on Obama handing the banks a gift:

http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0329/chomsky-banks/

And here is Chomsky rating Obama's first year in office:

http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2010/03/chomsky-rates-obama’s-first-year/

So tell me again how this person who stands with what you and your ilk call the "15% minority" of people who didn't get their pony", is a "woodchuck"?

has catapulted some into a frenzy trying to defend pragmatic and sensible progressives. They've attacked him. They've adopted him. Now they are trying to link him to actual left leaning, respected people.

It's been a 3-ring circus of daily entertainment for weeks now.

You had to have noticed. ;)

44. Howard Zinn was the same way.
Yes, they continued to criticize Obama and Democrats. But they could also have a rational discussion about how Obama is better, acknowledge areas of improvement, and admit that the possibility for change is greater under someone like Obama. People who think they earn their dissident merit badge by attacking Obama no matter what he does could learn something from Zinn and Chomsky.

63. Woodchuck is another name for a kind of marmot
A rodent, more often called a Groundhog. It is also a comic character that hit too close to the heart of the moderate centrist tap dance, and wounded a few posters, apparently on a soul level, unable to overcome the colorful ink and biting words they saw one day. Groundhog is the better choice with them, because everyday it is the same old thing. Over and over again.
