John Negroponte is coming in to teach also. Maybe they'll chat up Tony Blair who is returning to teach in a Divinity School/Management School program...

Couldn't Yale get better minds that this? I'm wondering if the bequest had certain "strings" attached to keep them from hiring a good progressive intellectual...

I know these guys are out of work, but geez, can't we do better than them?

1. Then why did they take it? Yale can't be so desperate so as to succumb to
arm twisting over funding?

Or perhaps it is just their principles that are lacking.

Oh wait. This is the school that had a hand in the edumacation of the absolutely worst president in our history. He is also (in my book) a finalist for one of the top most evil people in history.

2. Beats me. I know some really smart, good people at Yale but none of them
are in the top tier of the admin.

As for the effin' honorary degree they gave to Bush, I was out in the street with plenty of demonstrators, all of whom were outraged.

You might be pleased to know that many of the students graduating that day turned their backs on the podium in silent protest. I was happy to hear that...

3. More than one former President has attended Yale.
