Today's TX Police Bldg Shooter - His only complaint - Fear Govt Would ban guns
Edited on Tue Aug-17-10 10:12 PM by RamboLiberal
The only thing he ever complained about, Cheryl Cox said, was a fear the government would ban guns.

Cheryl Cox, McClellan's(Sharp's roommate) mother, said Sharp and her son both worked in security at Encore.

They kept lots of ammunition, Cheryl Cox confirmed. She said Sharp recently bought a semi-automatic rifle.

A MySpace page now removed from the social networking site showed photos of Sharp holding a number of firearms and wearing a black vest.

Photo captions included: "anybody need security?" "u talkin to me?" and "My AR-15 with the Seals 6-24x50 scope, a 900 yard scope!"

Bet he didn't watch MSNBC or CNN or listen to Progressive talk radio.

2. Don't these assholes realize
how hard it is to change a constitutional amendment. Even if the Democrats wanted to take their guns away they wouldn't be very successful.

There could be an issue of mental illness where I'll reserve judgment.

8. It doesn't need a further Amendment. It just needs a judiciary prepared to accept reality.
Guns As A Constitutional "Right" mainly derived from the skepticism about the power of a federal government.

Point: Obsolete as evidenced by the American Civil War 1861-61. Never again.

People v. McVeigh is just a continuation of this same chain of logic. You don't have a right to own guns and ammo just because there is a governmental force you prefer to oppose.

If you are not arguing your right to Do Battle Against The Government, then you are arguing that you have some combined right of judge, jury and executioner against persons you perceive are behaving in contravention of the criminal law. i.e., You get to sidestep the system of criminal justice because you have the power to conveniently kill?

Nach!

5. I agree
Guns is an enormous hot button issue, and just relentlessly pushing that button with huge lies only causes the psychologically fragile to break eventually... as he did.

6. No - I think he wanted to commit a spectacular act of domestic terrorism
Trailer loaded with gasoline, flares, ammonium nitrate that failed to explode. Shooting 100+ rounds at police building. IMHO his plan was to draw the cops & firefighters out with the burning truck, have the bomb kill scores, and for him to play sniper mowing down the rest.

His plan failed. It looks like he may have suicided himself much like the Columbine killers.

19. As I suspected he offed himself
McKINNEY, Texas – A 29-year-old man killed himself during a shootout with authorities after he drove a trailer filled with explosives into the parking lot of a suburban Dallas police station and started firing at the building, officials said Wednesday.

The Collin County Medical Examiner's Office said Patrick Gray Sharp died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

7. The RW MSM keeps stoking fears and more fears as they push IMO some to the
edge that might have been able to contain themselves otherwise. I blame the RW MSM for their hyping of fear in this country... and their lies...

Mullins said Sharp sometimes talked about politics and taxes.

"He seemed agitated with a lot of stuff going on, with taxes going up," he said.

11. Anyone who loves guns that much is a miserable, pathetic, worthless
human being...

Try loving PEOPLE. They'll love you back; not all of them, granted. But more than your guns will, I guarantee it...

12. trying to kill cops to
protect your gun rights is about as counterproductive as it can get. Yet it seems to happen more and more often. If this guy or the Hutaree had been successful in killing lots of cops with their military type weapons, the general public would scream for a AWB. I don't get it. They will be the cause of what they fear the most.

Hates taxes - check.
Hates socialists - check.
Infatuated with guns - check.
Paranoid about his government - check.

I'd say that makes him a prime candidate to be a Teabagger.

The only thing unknown is what his posting name was at FreeRepublic.

20. 'I enjoy watching people beg for their life,' McKinney shooter Patrick Sharp told Facebook friend
A Georgia teenager says that less than an hour before Patrick Sharp tried to set off a massacre outside the McKinney police headquarters, he contacted her online.

Patrick Gray Sharp "Killers like to share their thoughts, seek attention," read a message the girl says Sharp sent her Tuesday morning on Facebook.

"I like to scare people. I enjoy watching people beg for their life. I like watching them drown. When they take their last breath, oh it's amazing."
