Here’s the kind of discourse that Republicans in state Senate District 56 are interested in: The party website is now running a video about how “hot” Republican women are compared to “Democrat women.” To the strains of Tom Jones’ “She’s a Lady,” the video runs through a series of photos of GOP women in bikinis, evening gowns and, in Sarah Palin’s case, Spandex. Then they handpick some on our side that aren't exactly hotties. But I've seen the women at tea party gatherings. I've seen the women at our local Republican club. They aren't fooling me for a second. It can't be hard for them to find good looking woman politicians because, as we know, they don't require many other qualities on that side. Intelligence means nothing to their followers.

I would have assumed that the republicans would be smart enough to understand that they really shouldn't be playing the looks game when it comes to politics. Not that there aren't some attractive conservative women, its just that last time I checked the dems dominate among young people and if you go to any college in this country and stop the first attractive girl you see, chances are infinitely more likely that shes a dem rather than a repub.

Obviously this doesn't mean anything, its just funny how they are trying to change a fact that they used to bitch about all the time. I distinctly remember hearing repubs complain about how Hollywood is run by libs and Hollywood happens to be a town in which looks are everything.

which it damned well isn't, the reason for it would be because all it takes to be a GOP superstar is making stupid old white men horny. Smart women aren't going to do that no matter how physically attractive they are. If Palin was a genius they'd ignore her completely because she'd intimidate them.
