Requirements Management Tool Engineer

Responsible for training, deployment and mentoring organization in use of a formal requirements management tool
Develop and maintain tool configuration and scripts
Support integration of requirements management tool with other GM tools and processes
Support requirements development process
Develop tool capability to support system impact analysis
Develop and plan methodology for tool validation
Communicates, coordinates, and consults with engineering departments and customers
Stays abreast of new technology and tools
Travels as required

Qualifications

Basic Required

Four or more years experience using a formal requirements management tool
Experience developing embedded systems
BSE, BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent training

Basic Preferred

Experience with the Rational DOORS requirements management tool
Experience in developing DXL scripts
Knowledge of Product Line Engineering concepts and tools
Knowledge of IBM Rational Tools (Publishing Engine, Rhapsody, etc.)
Familiarity with automotive controls
High level of oral and written communication skills
Understanding of engineering theory and principles of controls and software development
Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
Specific knowledge of engineering discipline (e.g. electronics, software, control systems) within job-related area
High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others

2. I'm in the minority at DU; I actually supported the automobile bailout.
The financial bailout, on the other hand, I was opposed to.
