PLEASE! Besides the fact that he's a pretty boy, spending lots of money, is a warmonger despite popular opinion, against the right to choice...
Tell me money won't decide this!

And he has 1/4 of a BILLION bucks to play with, of his own money.

1. John Connally . . .
The campaign of 1980. Raised and spent far more than any other Republican candidate, yet secured the suupport of only one delegate.

The lesson: Money can't buy the Presidency if the people don't like the purchaser.

show he's bought by his Mormon brothers and sisters. They would do anythng to have a Mormon as president.

I'm sure if they back him they are sure of a planet system of their own to rule when they die.

To the richest go the spoils?

New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg is prepared to spend an unprecedented $1 billion of his own $5.5 billion personal fortune for a third-party presidential campaign, personal friends of the mayor tell The Washington Times.

And magic underwear wins elections.

6. People are tired, more tired
of these schmucks than they can make them afraid of terrah. They've cried wolf enough times, I don't think all the money in the world can make the memory of the last seven years go away.

WASHINGTON, April 2 —

Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign said Monday that it had raised $20 million in the first quarter,
tapping two distant but rich networks — Wall Street and the Mormon Church — to easily outpace his
better-known Republican primary rivals.

8. The guy's a bit too Manchurian Candidate to win in my opinion.
He's like a parody of the creepiest stereotypical politician you've ever seen in a film.

Sam Neill played Damien who was an ambassador of England (Maybe ambassadors had more power back then or something. :P)

Giuliani is already exploiting 9/11 to the max trying to play on everyone's fears.

13. Money means establishment support--in GOP that wins it almost every time
Mittens is the perfect empty suit and just enough of a contrast with Bush to make himself a plausible contrast--i.e. he can speak English. Rudy G. will not be easily manipulated and my guess is that the powers that be will take him out before he wins the nomination.

If the Religious right could buy Shrub's born again reformed drunk schtick they will buy Mitt's conversion on those pesky social issues.

Besides--he looks like Reagan.

12. He has no constituency
Really, who are his constituents? Certainly no one in Mass.

He has money. Period. But you need some sort of constituency to work from
and he has none - because he has done nothing. Ran the Olympics? thats it.

thats why he will not be elected, does not have any real support.

16. It's McCain's turn, I think.
Sometime a few years ago, McCain turned from a Bush critic to a Bush lover. They seemed to have made a deal (or had something to hold over McCain). Once the GOP establishment picks the candidate, everyone else falls in line. I suspect it will be McCain this time, with Romney as the Quayle.

Guiliani, for all his many many faults, is too reasonable on abortion to win over the neocon or fundie constituencies.
