Wolfowitz pleads for job
Edited on Wed May-16-07 01:29 AM by 133724

Paul Wolfowitz, the World Bank president, has implored the bank's board to let him keep his job, despite a recent scandal over favouritism, according to a hearing transcript released by his lawyer.

Wolfowitz told the board on Tuesday that a loss of confidence in his leadership over his role in a pay hike for his girlfriend, would be "unfair".

"I implore each of you to be fair in making your decision," Wolfowitz told executive directors who had gathered to hear his rebuttal of the allegations.

"Your decision will not only affect my life, it will affect how this institution is viewed in the United States and the world."

1. I hope to God they quote him to himself in the severance letter
Dear Wolfie,
Although we regret any negative impact this decision may make on your life, it is more important for us to consider how our actions will affect "...how this institution is viewed in the United States and the world."

4. It's too bad some of the most important information about how
deep in the shit this "administration" has put us is both not discussed on the MSM, and also almost too esoteric to register unless you've had at least one international politics class...Maybe we can pay someone to ask Tony Snow what the admin thinks of our dead last ranking!

5. They're all cowards.
They talk a bunch of shit and get away with it until someone calls them out. Then they cry and beg for mercy. Cowards all.
