Comey spills the beans, McNulty thrown under a bus
got your  ready, and it's only early wednesday morning....

McNulty hands in his resignation this past Monday, Gonzales accepts the resignation and then throws McNulty under a bus by blaming McNulty for the AG firings

Meanwhile Comey spills the beans about Gonzales/Card pressuring Ashcroft in a hospital bed over spying....

Wonder why I feel that this is like a end of the season cliff-hanger and I have to wait until the autumn for the season opener episode? :giggle: What will today's news bring? Another shocker :gasp: or spin from snowjob as he tries to downplay it all....

my questions:

-- Will McNulty stay under the bus or will he crawl out and tell his side of the story...?

-- Snowjob pooh-poohed Aschcroft's illness as apendicitis, and brushes off Comey's testimony as 'splashy'
(Snowjobs presser: http://www.allamericanpatriots.com/48723361_white_house_white_house_press_briefing_tony_snow_may_15_2007
MR. SNOW: Trying to take advantage of a sick man -- because he had an appendectomy, his brain didn't work?

--snip--

MR. SNOW: That's my way of counting to 10. (Laughter.)

The fact is, you've got somebody who has splashy testimony on Capitol Hill. Good for him. We're not talking about internal deliberations.
)

I thought Ashcroft has a serious pancreas infection and not an appendectomy? Either Snowjob got his facts wrong, or it's a deliberate mis-speak to pooh-pooh the incident and undercut Comey's testimony as being an over-reaction.

From the news reports other than Card and Gonzales, the only other people present were Comey, Ashcroft and Ashcroft's wife. Will Ashcroft or his wife back up Comey's version? Will Comey further elaborate, were there other incidents of WH pressure regarding spying as well as other issues? What about the AG firings - discussions/pressure to fire certain AG's prior to Gonzales being annointed AG?

Was the real reason for Ashcroft's resignation voluntary, or was it involuntary because he refused to play ball with Card and Gonzales?

3. it was deliberate
Snow job really is a cretin.

That afternoon, Ashcroft was rushed to George Washington University Hospital with a severe case of gallstone pancreatitis and, on March 9, his gall bladder was removed.

The standoff between Justice and White House officials came the next night, after Comey refused to certify the surveillance program on the eve of its 45-day reauthorization deadline, he said.

5. Snowjob's 'excuse'??
Let's say for a moment the press-puppies ask snowjob why he said it was appendicitis when it was really gallstone pancreatitis

Snowjob's likely excuse would be that he made a "mistake", and/or possibly that since he was press secretary at the time the "mistake" was understandable

This would probably be a satisfactory answer - unless..... in his previous position - did Snowjob ever do a news story on Ashcroft when Ashcroft was in the hospital?

6. It's all great theatre for us "in the know". . My question is
"If a country crumbles out of the media spotlight, does anyone come to it's aid?"

8. When they hit bottom, they usually take action to protect themselves.
Their feelings are hurt because they've lost their jobs, they're no longer part of the GOP "In Crowd" and they've been tossed aside. When they discover they might serve jail time while the big shots get a free ride, the tide turns.

I think little by little the GOP Empire is falling apart.

We know about the election fraud they committed, although there are still many details left secret. But as time passes, we will chip away at those secrets.

We know about the cronyism.

We know about the special deals made in secret for high powered friends in high places.

We know that running the government is just one big political game to them, and they have little concern for the rights and liberties of the American people.

We know they've lied. Manipulated the system. Committed treason.

The cracks in the wall are getting bigger, it's only a matter of time until the chunks start falling out, revealing all the dirty little secrets hidden behind.
