Is This Enough To Impeach The Bastard
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/16/washington/16nsa.html?_r=1&hp=&adxnnl=1&oref=slogin&adxnnlx=1179316825-h9HRiN3staONUJzLv7OfxQ

Read this god dam article in its entirety and then tell me that that son of a bitch, Bush, doesn't DESERVE impeachment.

There had to be a "last straw". How in hell can this not be it?

To quote from the article:

"Mr. Gonzales and Mr. Card quickly departed, but Mr. Comey said he soon got an angry phone call from Mr. Card, demanding that he come to the White House. Mr. Comey said he replied: “After what I just witnessed, I will not meet with you without a witness, and I intend that witness to be the solicitor general of the United States.”"

This is all about the spying on Americans and at least a hand full of people who knew it was illegal even as it was approved by George Bush himself.

Impeach the bastard while we still have a country left.

14. Well, it could work if you give the audience a direct t.v. voting button.
And assuming the vote doesn't get hijacked, of course.

6. If bu$h and cheney don't deserve Impeachment, no one ever did or will
What would it take for our congress to finally stand up and impeach the criminals? If what these bastards have done isn't impeachable, nothing will ever again be impeachable.

4. The hits just keep on coming -
What has this country become?
Here we have a coup in place, ready to circumvent policy and procedure - "dark side" indeed.
Then there's the picture in the linked article of the idiot king with his henchman scowling at his side.

Can we all admit that the country is lost yet?

10. Are There 67 Votes In The Senate Yet?
This is not a new story...it came out two years ago when the original New York Times story on wiretapping came to light. It took this long for Comey to be able to testify.

The reason it took this long was Democrats didn't have the power to investigate...and this is just the tip of the iceburg. There's lots of corruption, lots of people who need to be indicted and convicted, not just one or two.

Winning a "moral victory" while allowing criminality to go unpunished is no victory.

11. Last evening I heard a reference to something about 'today's stunning revelation'
What happened? Was it Comey and what he said? If yes, did he say something more than what we heard about many months ago? Talk about reality confusion - why was this news yesterday when it was really news many months ago?

12. They like to spread these 'revelations' out, it seems
If there are too many revelations all at once, people might start talking.

This way, they've already forgotten about the 'old' revelations.

13. Wasn't the solicitor general Ted Olson?
Where would that have gotten Comey? Bush's complicit behavior in 9/11 resulted in Olson's wife's death, and Olson was still licking Bush's rear end, afterwards.

15. I don't think anymore that
there is ever going to be anything bad enough to impeach the bastards. I think their power benefits too many of the already rich and powerful of all parties and all nations who have no care for any of the rest of us but are competing with themselves for the top spot. Hopefully they will take each other out. I think that may be the best we can hope for.

24. GEEZUS! Talk about CORRUPT! They were trying to get a signature from someone who was NOT the acting
AG! What a bunch of rat bastards! They didn't get their way so they go around Comey to get it??? ILLEGALLY!!! Fuckers. IMPEACH THEM ALL!

<snip>
Mr. Comey said that when a top aide to Mr. Ashcroft alerted him about the pending visit, he ordered his driver to rush him to George Washington University Hospital with emergency lights flashing and a siren blaring, to intercept the pair. They were seeking his signature because authority for the program was to expire the next day.

Mr. Comey said he phoned Mr. Mueller, who agreed to meet him at the hospital. Once there, Mr. Comey said he “literally ran up the stairs.” At his request, Mr. Mueller ordered the F.B.I. agents on Mr. Ashcroft’s security detail not to evict Mr. Comey from the room if Mr. Gonzales and Mr. Card objected to his presence.

Mr. Comey said he arrived first in the darkened room, in time to brief Mr. Ashcroft, who he said seemed barely conscious. Before Mr. Ashcroft became ill, Mr. Comey said the two men had talked and agreed that the program should not be renewed.

When the White House officials appeared minutes later, Mr. Gonzales began to explain to Mr. Ashcroft why they were there. Mr. Comey said Mr. Ashcroft rose weakly from his hospital bed, but in strong and unequivocal terms, refused to approve the eavesdropping program.<snip>
