Danny Miller, who plays the gay character Aaron Livesy on the ITV1 soap Emmerdale, was attacked while out in Manchester by a group of men in who shouted gay slurs at the 19-year-old actor.

An onlooker told The People: “It was terrifying. A group of lads shouted, ‘Oi gay boy, you out with your boyfriend tonight?’ “Another screamed, ‘Oi faggot, is that your boyfriend?’ Then the yobs started running and screaming, ‘Get him, get him.'”

Miller was apparently punched by at least one person in the mob. He tweeted about the incident later and reassured everyone that he was alright.

Thankfully he is OK but it is hard to get more ridiculous than attacking an actor for playing a gay character.

1. i don't think this is new , i think it has happened to some others

who have played gay characters even though they might not be in their real life.

i can't name specific incidents but i think i can remember hearing about this stuff similar to this.

Some are just a bit confused, but many take the actors' roles and the fictional stories they are in to be real life.

Gay groups are insanely happy to see NPH and Burka having twins but they are now the great gay hope on some level. Has to be a strain on a relationship. I remember being drawn to him in Doogie days and now I guess I know why.
