What's Gotten Into Joe Scarborough?
http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/node/39210 (For video)

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough told Republicans Monday that they should "speak out against Newt Gingrich and the voices of hate." While he was at it, Scarborough threatened to leave the GOP for a party "that actually believes in small government."

Last week, Gingrich compared supporters of the mosque to Nazis. Appearing on Fox & Friends, Gingrich said, "Nazis don't have the right to put up a sign next to the Holocaust museum in Washington."

Prior to that, Gingrich argued that the mosque shouldn't be built near Ground Zero until churches and synagogues are allowed in Saudi Arabia.

"This is demagoguery of the first order," Scarborough said Monday. "And people in the Republican Party need to separate themselves from these voices."

3. So Newt wants us to use the Saudi laws as guidance?
His followers are too stupid to see the poor logic involved.

4. Well, I guess Scarborough's conscience sobered up long enough
to make him realize that opponents of this thing are racists.

5. Joe knows a losing issue when he sees it. There can be no debate on this
the people building the community center which contains a prayer room have the right to do so.

Even if it were a Mosque, which it isn't, and it were on "ground zero", which it isn't, they would still have the right to build it.

Gingrich needs the attention so he is fighting a losing battle just so people can watch him lose. Joe doesn't need to do that. He can pick his battles and this is one he wants to stay away from.

The easy response would be to pull up numbers of people killed by gun violence and say that people shouldn't carry guns because it offends the survivors of loved ones killed by guns. First Amendment, Second Amendment, whatever!!!

6. I'm guessing this is something personal between him and the Newt
Going back to the pre dead intern days when they served in congress together.

Pretty sure he doesn't really object to hate as a political tool, he just dislikes Newt.

9. The sad truth:
Scarborough is taking this stance out of principle.

The sad part is that all the gibberish he spouts is also spouted out of principle. He actually believes that stuff!

How many CONS are your friends and how are you all working to sabatoge us? Ford jumps from one side of the fence to the other if he thought everyone agreed with not having the community center he would be on that side.He is following scarbor lead.

This statement seems to be directed at the OP "How many CONS are your friends and how are you all working to sabatoge us?" Like I said re-read your post and clarify who you are talking about.

to remove mountain tops because the people who own the land where the mine will be located should be able to do anything they want with the land that they own. What the strip job does to the people around that area, doesn't matter, the way the corporations and their government stooges see it. Now here are these folks that own their property in New York and the Right wing corporate goons and flunkies want to flip flop on the idea that, a land owner has the right to do what he wants to with his own property.

Will the mosque pollute the streams and drinking water around it and kill off the wildlife? Will the mosque fill up the stream beds with sediment and cause flooding and massive property damage? Will there be blasting near the mosque that will damage all the foundations of the buildings in the area? NO...but mountain top removal mining will do all these destructive things and more, yet we are expected to tolerate that.

19. That, plus New York is rubbing off on him
He's beginning to think of people of races, religions and ethnicities other than his own as human beings.

A dangerous thing for a Republican to do.

Time for a new set of values since spouting the republican tea party line is not as popular as he had once hoped.
