1. Another reason to not use email.
First thing someone does to anyone that speaks up is try to cut into communication and misdirect anyone that might listen to them.

Hence why each comment has to have its own credibility.

It is a method to try and stop coordination, but since it is dishonest, and citizens have to have the same abilities as private sector, and government agencies, people have other ways to coordinate now.

Thinking for yourself, then if you have same set of ideologies, your comments are coordinated.

2. Or you could just not use really simple security questions wikipedia has the answers too
especially if you're a united states governor doing official business illegally on outside non-government email servers.

3. yea, although I think most of that would not be from someone
guessing some answer to something, but more from within the system.

So if someone breaks into yahoo account, and done by a hacker it is reported he gets jail time, but if done by an ISP, or some company with an email server, or someone in a black room at one of those companies it is ignored.

Does not sound right.

Just had a totally unrelated thought. If someone asks you to choose, why give them the right to make you choose some options they offer at all? If someone says choose, why even give them the right to decide when and for what you should choose. Even choosing is a choice. That's deep.

4. A little too deep, you lost me
Your ISP or anyone else collecting emails should be illegal (well it is illegal, it should be punished). But if you are that worried about the government or someone else spying on you you can get an email account in a country like Russia and make sure that the connection to their mail servers is encrypted. The government nor your ISP would have any kind of access to that unless Russia gave them access.

5. If it was illegal, then you need enforcement.
Edited on Mon Aug-23-10 03:40 PM by RandomThoughts
You can't say it is illegal if they are allowed to do it.

Black rooms, techs at some company, censorship, all that could happen, and if there is not equal enforcement, then what do the laws mean anyways.

Some want the current system to be anarchy with lack of justice enforced equally.

I am not worried about people spying on me. Nor am I worried about people spoofing email.

I just don't use email because it is not possible to know if something is spoofed.

Although could say the same for posting on a forum

Let me make it more simple, personal observation does not match with effects that should occur if internet was not spoofed or censored.

In other words, you can prove different connections by seeing if something can move from one place to another, and primary and secondary effects that should occur do not always occur after posting, so it is obvious that there is censorship or spoofing.

If you tell Jane to give Jill a pencil, then you look at Jill and she does not have a pencil, you can deduce Jane did not do what was said to her.

If you tell Jane something to tell Jill, then Jill does not know it, you can assume there is a censor or Jane decided not to tell Jill it.

It is looking at functions not data.

LOL so you obliterate Jane and bypass Jane since the action shows Jane as being irrelevant and blocking something.

6. "If it was illegal, then you need enforcement". Absolutely
If you are that worried there are actually ways of verifying if what the person you are talking to by email is who they say they are and if what they sent you has not been tampered with. But for most people I would simply suggest don't worry that deeply about it. Simply make sure your password isn't easy to guess and for god's sake don't answer those stupid password reminder questions they ask you.

7. I don't talk on emails, nor get emails anyways.
Edited on Mon Aug-23-10 06:33 PM by RandomThoughts
But the point is if I did, you would not know if it was spoof or not.

Then again I don't use email anyways.

Interestingly I did get a call once, the person calling was nervous and asking about electric wires or something, LOL.

People seem to not always say what they mean, and that is a game I avoid anyways. But actually the phone is the same way, you don't really know who would or could be calling.
