We are close to being out of Iraq |
|
We are not out of Iraq but we are a lot more out of Iraq than we were two years ago.
There is sound reason to hope we will be even more out of Iraq a year from now.
Obama has performed just fine on Iraq. I don't see the problem.
The withdrawal is probably over-sold as is every other accomplishment of anyone with access to a microphone.
But c'mon... this belongs in the good half of the Obama ledger.
(And what's the hurry? The 50,000 still there are probably safer than they'll be in Afghanistan.)

1. I see a HUGE problem.... |
|
The illegal and immoral war of aggression against Iraq is STILL continuing. The ONLY thing that has changed is the spin and the message control. If American troops are quartered there with weapons, then we are occupying Iraq at best and coercing their continued cooperation with U.S. foreign policy by aggression. That's a crime against humanity, no matter what we call the troops who are committing it.

2. But the problem for me is that there are also |
|
50,000 mercenaries there, above and beyond the 50,000 troops. No one counts the mercenaries. So when they tell us there's only 50,000 troops there, they are lying to us again. Just like all the oil disappeared in the Gulf, they want us to believe our troops are gone in Iraq. Not yet even close.
