How much do you need to donate to DU to view without ads?

After the last fund drive I now notice that I have to view ads while I lurk here. Used to be if you were a donor, you got to avoid the ads. Is it that now you have to see the ads even if you donate?

your donation star lasts one year and then you renew and get another star. If you donate during certain times (pledge drive) you get an additional something (I donated to this quarter's fund drive or something like that)

did you donate? If you did send a message to one of the admins to make sure you get the star. I think a $10/year donation is all that's required you don't need to donate to every drive.

by your name... that is the issue you have.

As I said, you asked, five bucks will open all that for you, and chiefly remove the adds.

4. You don't have a star. A single donation (of any amount) gives you a star for a year.

I'd guess that it's gone over a year since your last donation. There's a function that allows you to view when you last donated. I think you can probably find it by clicking "Options" up at the top of the page.

On edit: Yes, click on Options, and on the page that opens up look for "Donor Status" in the list on the left. That will show you when you last donated.

Btw, back in the early days when I was really broke, I was only able to donate $5.00 one year -- it still gave me a star and it lasted for a year.
