The religious defense, that is used for a smear |
|
Some people do bad then say they are Muslims, and people think all Muslims are that way. Some people do bad then say they are Christians and people think all Christians are that way. Some people do bad then say they are Jewish and people think all Jews are that way.
Doesn't anyone get it.
There are extremist making every religion look bad. If someone uses there religion as there defense, you probably should not believe them, since they are using the actions of people they are trying to associate with as there defense, not there own thoughts and feelings.
If there is a terrible football player, and you say he can't catch or throw, then he says he is on some team somewhere, do you believe him because he says it? Or do you look at how he throws and catches?
Note I think most of that stuff is between an individual and God anyways, but it has been used to justify some bad things by some people using Machiavellianism.

You do have to fix the core issues, but they come through in people. And different views come through different people differently.
And talk radio 'programs' from its source more then many religions do in the USA, since they set the source for many people including preachers also. Just as an example.

7. I'm perfectly willing to forgive people on religious grounds, unless |
|
they belong to a religion of their own free will. All conscripts get a pass.

8. Are you saying that those that were brought into a doctrine |
|
by deception, then those that deceived are responsible. I don't think I disagree with that.
Hard to blame something for doing what they were taught if they never had a chance to see anything else.
There is a real argument that you can not blame most people, and even all people for everything they do, but need some accountability on issues for a society to function.
