A simply stated question: What was Alan Simpson appointed to the deficit commission?
I will avoid the "catfood commission" appellation. In this thread, let's not go there.

So why Simpson? I can honestly say I can't imagine why.

3. I think the administration has already decided to
cut S.S., so they appoint people to the commission that will do that job. What other reason can there be?
