Alan Simpson: Social Security Is 'A Milk Cow With 310 Million Tits'
Edited on Tue Aug-24-10 10:42 PM by laughingliberal
Alan Simpson believes that Social Security is "like a milk cow with 310 million tits," according to an email he sent to the executive director of National Older Women's League Tuesday morning. Simpson co-chairs the deficit commission, which is considering various proposals to cut Social Security benefits.

...............................

His email is peppered with exclamation points and condescension. At one point he urged Carson to read a certain graph, "which I hope you are able to discern if you are any good at reading graphs."

Simpson concludes by implying that leading a major organization dedicated to the interests of middle-aged and elderly women is not "honest work."

"If you have some better suggestions about how to stabilize Social Security instead of just babbling into the vapors, let me know," he writes. "And yes, I've made some plenty smart cracks about people on Social Security who milk it to the last degree. You know 'em too. It's the same with any system in America. We've reached a point now where it's like a milk cow
with 310 million tits! Call when you get honest work!"

This man was one of the most obnoxious, vile people to ever serve in the Senate. It was a great day when he moved on and we no longer had to listen to his insulting sneering comments about everyone he considered beneath him (which was just about everyone). I would say he's showing early signs of frontal lobe dementia except that this kind of lewd, mean spirited blabber was standard for the old asshole 20 years ago. I am not amused he has been given a national spotlight to spew his venomous hateful rhetoric again. I just have to ask, what was the President thinking when he appointed this guy???

3. How does one "milk" Social Security?
You pay into it your entire work life. When you retire, you get benefits. How, Mr. Simpson, is that "milking" it?

And "Call when you get honest work"? Was that nasty crack directed at Carson, or at SS recipients in general? If it is the latter, the cheese really has slid off his cracker.

6. Simpson's the one needs to get honest work
The heat needs to be turned up on Obama - not that that did any good during the insurance bail out debate, but we have to try.

17. I figure it is the same way you milk a whole life annuity policy.
You pay in, you get back.

But even ignoring the idiocy of the analogy, is Simpson claiming that there are 310 million 'milkers' and no people providing hay? Am I the only one still paying in, cause while I see that big ass deduction every paycheck, it ain't that big.

4. He may co-chair the deficit commission...
... but where defecation gets ready to "go", he's pumped, baby.

Poor Alan, he so seriously misses his days when he was helping cause all those deficits, which never really mattered anyway, right?

23. Obama's appointments SUCK!!!
But you wouldn't have been surprised if you had read both of his books where he waxes nostalgic for bipartisanship cooperation. He doesn't have a clue that the fucking Republican hate him and when he stretches out his hand to them he will draw back a blood stub. The ultra-wealthy Republicans who run the party has a constituency that consists of stupid racist hicks, hayseeds and hillbillies they are taking for a ride. Their isn't anything dumber than some jerk-off Republican anti-union dumb ass buffoon.

30. I fear the President's fixation on "bipartisanship" is starting to reflect badly on his judgement.
Edited on Wed Aug-25-10 09:16 AM by Buns_of_Fire
But I think he feels that being bipartisan (or post-partisan, whatever) is supposed to be an important part of his "legacy" (which recent Presidents seem to worry much-too-much about).

The days of bipartisanship may come back. But they won't in the foreseeable future, and he's got to realize that there's nothing he can do about it save sacrificing his own agenda.

25. Appointing this GOP asshole to head this commission is a prime example
of what's wrong with Obama and why people aren't enthusiastic about supporting the Democrats again. Comments like his make my blood boil and I want his ass fired NOW! That probably won't happen though no matter how much of a stink we raise and that in a nutshell is why I am so frustrated with Obama. If they cut Social Security then don't expect to see me at the polls in 2012.
