4. Shows you how much attention I actually pay to it...
I had no idea the jackpot was that high.

I hope you realize my comment about a lottery being a tax imposed on people with limited math skills was me poking fun at myself, WCG.

7. I only dabble when the rest of the office is in on it.
I'll be damned if I want to be the only one working.

On the other hand I would be the fucking boss and straighten shit out up in here - yeah that's the ticket.

9. We have the Power Ball lottery here
and I go in on the office pools. Occassionly I'll buy myself a ticket. I figure the few hours of "If I won I'd.." fantasy I get out of it is worth a couple dollars.

I have told my family if they ever call me and my phone has been disconnected, they'll know I won.

11. That was always my retirement plan, too
I always thought I could probably improve my chances if I ever bought a ticket.

There was always a pool at work, thirty people chipping in. They never won back more than ten bucks.

If you didn't have bad luck, you'd have no luck at all?

Sorry you didn't have even one number!

16. Cheaper than beer or wine....
after a particularly nasty work day, and the fleeting fantasy might just lower your blood pressure for the drive home.
My retirement plan is a Shed Shack off the highway in Northern California.
I may have to settle for a cardboard box now....

17. This is ironic!
I won! That's right...let me bask in this for a moment.

$2! I had the powerball number right.

My prediction is this means I will win the jackpot soon.

I will cut you all in.
