Glenn Beck's ironically named "Restoring Honor" rally at the Lincoln Memorial and that is still where we may wind up. There is another rally, sponsored by the NAACP and the National Urban League, at Dunlap High School, about three miles from the Beck rally. It is billed as "Reclaiming The Dream".

I'd like to support "Reclaiming The Dream" and that would likely be the safer place to be, but it just galls the hell out of me that all these budding Brown Shirts can help Beck profane the memory of Dr. King without seeing at least SOME counter-protestors. I have tried to enlist others to attend with us, but as of right now, we will be alone in a Mall packed with rattlesnake flags and misspelled signs.

At present, I'm considering going to the Mall first, before the Beck-a-palooza starts, to insure that at least some of the attendees have to walk past some anti-Tea Party and Anti-Beck/Palin/Nugent signs and then taking the Metro to the "Reclaiming the Dream" rally and maybe say "hi" to Ed Schultz.

Which is more important: supporting the good people or pissing off the nasties?

Fox News will be showing the aerial shot from that rally, which makes all the counter-protesters look like they are part of the rally!

Better to make that crowd look as small as possible.

in the counter-rally, even if it's not staged as such. Don't know yet quite where it is, but local news will, I'm sure, have details.

I wouldn't miss it for the world. Every person who comes out against the Beck-lunatics helps.
