Small town Wisconsinites oppose mosque
Maybe this was already posted here? I haven't heard about it from any national media outlet.

This happened a few months ago here in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. A Muslim doctor wanted to convert a privately owned building into a mosque in the small town of Wilson. The plan was ultimately approved but was met with opposition from right-wingers.

Here's a video of a town hall meeting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2Qwc3WVMuM

Here's a Time article: http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,2011842,00.html

One woman strapped a sign to her back that read "No Jesus...Know Jihad". (freak!)

We are nearly a thousand miles from ground zero. So why were Sheboyganites "sensitive" about accepting a mosque a thousand miles from any site of past terrorist activity?

If anyone has an account at Randi Rhodes' or The Young Turks forum, please post this info there. I tried but couldn't create an account at either website. Olbermann tonight reported about a similar case in another state. I'll google his producer's email. If someone else could email him too that would be helpful.

I already had no doubts, but to me this is proof that the outrage about "sensitivity" is nothing but hot air.

1. Just a thought
May the Winter of the North
Freeze the genitalia
Of the ones with no tolerance,
So reproduction
Is not an option.

3. I don't think so.
That must have been the one Olbermann reported about tonight.

To the credit of the town board, it was approved unanimously. But as you can see in the video, there was much ugliness from the rank-and-filers.

...many are Fox viewers, voted for Sensenbrenner (and McCarthy, if they were around back then).

The city of Fond du Lac once ran an ad in Chicago papers showing a couple hippie-types with the caption "Fond du Lac's not for everyone".

Many leftists are scared to voice their opinions. But we're here too.

7. I posted about it, during the "controversy."
Which included that Oostburg church bringing in a professional Muslim-hater.
