He also calls for "significant changes" to Social Security and Medicare. As a resident of Indiana, I can say this guy gives me the creeps. Also, do we really want Bush's budget guy to run the economy after what happened? I can imagine fewer people who Republicans actually think can appeal to the masses.

1. As another resident of Indiana, I totally concur. Mitch is despicable.

One of my proudest moments as a mom was the day of the 2004 election, the first year my son was away at college. He didn't get an absentee ballot and asked me to drive the 90 miles to Purdue to bring him home to vote and then drive him back. Like a good mom, I did it. As we were driving home, I told him how proud I was that he was so adamant about voting in his first election and how important it was that we all vote against Bush. He looked at me and said, "Yeah, that's important, but what I care even more about is voting against Mitch Daniels."
