Poll question: Which religion looks violent if Christians burn a Quran?
I am a sci/fi writer, but I could not make this stuff up. A self described "Christian" Church is going to burn a Quran? And they will have armed guards? And they want the whole world to know?

These are folks who obviously attach a literal meaning to Luke:12:49-51

"I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is completed! Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division."

2. Burning books, bad. The death penalty for homosexuals, adulterers and apostates? Slightly worse.
That's all I'm saying. Slightly worse.

3. Over the course of the last 9 years, these wackos have managed
to drag US Christian values down into the same gutter that's frequented by the radicalized Muslims.

In fact, these are RADICALIZED Christians!

4. I say we put the whackjobs on both side in a room and lock the doors.
They'll either make nice or kill each other off = either way problem solved.

5. Remember the reaction to the Mohammed cartoons? This is pure provocation for a terrorist attack

I've said this before in http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x4516566">the LBN thread and others, but it bears repeating.

There were riots all over the world, people died and some heavy shit went down over the cartoons. If you need a reminder do a quick google search.

They want another 9/11 to happen on Obama's watch and then they can say "he didn't keep us safe".

What's the worst thing you can do to provoke a Muslim extremist or even just tipping Muslims over the edge?

Burning the Qur'an, basically.

If this Qu'ran burning happens, does anyone think only local media will report it?

Or, will it will be http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8976871">Broadcast Unfiltered ALL OVER THE WORLD by Faux?
