Redistricting. Just so you know, this is what's at stake in all those Governor's races.

misusing campaign funds, as is his sister who is a State Rep.
He is the current state Attorney General
- the one he replaced served a term in prison, too...

3. Sorry to belabor the obvious - many people don't realize how dirty politics are
here in PA, and have been so from the beginning...

4. I'm just guessing, but we did have a census recently.
That usually means new district boundaries and disputes over gerrymandering.

7. That is exactly what happens and it begins next year with the new Governors in charge.
The guy who gets elected in Florida is in charge of the gerrymandering that will take place next year in Florida. That means the guy who gets elected in November essentially charts the course of that state's elections for the next 10 years.

5. Very true and with the odds looking bad for dems in PA, OH, MI it will be very important for dems
to win in FL, TX and CA--which polls show is doable. Those are three big states with lots of congressional seats. Dems are also going to keep the governors seat in CO--which will probably gain a seat or two and we really need to fight to keep New Mexico which will probably gain a congressional seat in the census.
