Former EPA Chief Refuses To Testify At 9/11 Hearing
(It is unbelievable that Giuliani is not being asked to testify. Clinton feels like it would look bad politically. That's exactly why I don't like her.)

Former EPA Chief Refuses To Testify At 9/11 Hearing
By RUSSELL BERMAN
Staff Reporter of the Sun
May 16, 2007

WASHINGTON — The former head of the Environmental Protection Agency is balking at a request by Rep. Jerrold Nadler that she testify before a congressional hearing on the federal response to the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Christine Todd Whitman, the EPA administrator at the time, has declined an invitation to appear before a House subcommittee that Mr. Nadler chairs, an aide to the congressman said yesterday. Mr. Nadler, whose district includes ground zero, is expected to ask Ms. Whitman again before considering whether to seek to compel her testimony with a subpoena, the aide, speaking on condition of anonymity, said.

Mr. Nadler and Senator Clinton yesterday announced companion hearings to investigate what they say was the government's failure to respond adequately to the environmental crisis in Lower Manhattan that resulted from the attack on the World Trade Center. Mr. Nadler's hearing is scheduled for May 22; Mrs. Clinton's is set for June 20.

Ms. Whitman has come under fire from lawmakers over the years for saying the air near ground zero was safe to breathe in the weeks following September 11. Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Nadler have also faulted the EPA for insufficiently testing and cleaning buildings near ground zero after the attack..."

do the job the way it needs to be done.

Political appearances cannot interfere with one's DUTY for oversight, and if she truly feels it would be improper for HER to call Rudy up, then she needs to step aside on this.

3. Rice was paramount on allowing the EPA to issue an OK on ground zero
The EPA was not given full control over its press releases in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks
. Administrator Whitman issued a memo on September 12 announcing that
"all statements to the media should be cleared through the NSC
before they are released," and the New York Post reported that
National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice was "the final decision maker
" regarding the release of information by the EPA.

In addition the OIG report details how the White House Council
on Environmental Quality (CEQ) pressed the EPA to
"add reassuring statements and delete cautionary ones"
from agency press releases.7For example, information discussing
the potential health risk for "sensitive populations" from exposure to
particulate matter was discouraged from inclusion in a press release
by a CEQ official, and language discussing detected levels of asbestos
was softened.

The involvement of NSC and CEQ officials raises questions as to whether public health concerns were trumped by political and security priorities.

13. Exactly.
I was shocked that Bill Maher had her on his show and didn't ask her anything about it. I decided she must have made some agreement with him to show up as long as he didn't bring up the subject.

10. "declining invitations". . . (hoping to slink off unscathed)
Drag her in there and

BURN HER

She really does have a lot to answer for. At the very least she can testify to the fact that she was ordered to lie about the air quality at ground zero..
Who told you to do that Christie?? Hmmmm?

11. Speaking of Air Quality
If the EPA had embarked on a determined program to identify the dangerous materials present in the particulate matter, their air samplers would have picked up traces of explosives and thermite used to bring down WTC 7.

That could not be allowed to occur, thus the whitewash over the air quality.

16. BINGO!
We have a winner! Eventually we will have the proof we need to prove 9/11 was an inside job. Too bad the perpetrators will have died of old age by then.
