John Boehner gave his little sales pitch on why he should be Speaker of the House today. Of course, he conveniently left out the part where the same failed policies he recommended for the future failed so miserably in the past giving us the mess we are so desperately trying to clean up without the help of Boehner and his ilk. But then again why should they help?? They already got their bailout. Another thing missing from the Prince of Orange's radar today was the fact that he, like the whole Republican Party is trying to steal your Social Security to pay for tax cuts for the rich and Corporate Welfare.

Yes, the Prince of Orange has decided that he needs your Social Security to give to the wealthy. After allowing the Social Security surplus to be raided for years, now he is trying to convince Americans it is their fault and they must give it up by the raising of the retirement age and cutting of benefits. However, as the Economic Policy Institute points out there are many reasons why the Prince of Orange and Republicans are wrong. They compiled a top ten list of them. Lets look at a few.

You see, Republicans want to pay for more tax cuts for the wealthy on the backs of retirees, and hope to keep younger generations from ever getting Social Security:

1. This was posted on another site about social security.
A guy from New York says

to all you Liberals who(1) Failed to get a good education (2) were an unwed mother (3) got addicted to drugs (4) are just plain lazy ***here he puts in another number four (4)committed crimes and want to take money from productive people with careers in society who did not do these things, according to the most recent Rasmussen Poll 29% say US heading in the right direction must be you. You were foosl(spelled this way and remember he said failed to get a good education) for counting on the government to take care of you in your5 old age in the first place. Social Security is a Democratic Ponzi scheme doomed from the start and only got worst as your Liberal Democratic party added more beneficiaries. ==He goes on to rant and rave and says people with brains don't count on social security and that seniors have no body to blame but them selves and are not victims.

This must be some guy in his late 20's or 30's who happens to have good job RIGHT NOW. I hate for someone to loose their job but this is one creep who I would love it to happen to. There were a hell of a lot of productive people out there til a lot of their jobs were sent overseas. And there are a lot of seniors who worked all their lives and paid into social security and there should have been no problem til the Reagan's and the Bushes got greedy and couldn't stand for all that social security money to be there. They used it for things like balancing their budget and paying for wars. And now they blame the same people who paid in to it to have a fund with billions of dollars, where they are getting paid back for their participation but find that most of it was raided by crooked administrations.
