Annoying-as-hell "former terrorist" refuses to say how far from Ground Zero mosque would be okay
I have followed this guy Walid Shoebat for some time, and I'm not totally sure it's clear his "former terrorist" story holds up. Regardless, he went on Midweek Politics today and after being pressed 5 or 6 times by the host, simply refuses to say how far from Ground Zero would be okay with him, and harps on supposed "arabic recordings" that say the man behind the "mosque" is dangerous.

The interview begins at the 32 minute mark of the podcast.

1. Yep
I'm familiar with "Walid" even though that's his assumed name. Some of his story sounds bogus.

2. Hmm
Even though wingnuts are currently stumbling when pressed on "how far is okay," you have to assume soon they will get together on some kind of united talking point to respond with.

9. Yeah
The talking point will be 'we don't like mosques and we don't want them anywhere in manhattan."

3. His "former terrorist" story holds no weight at all
Even his supposed target, Bank Leumi, has denied that Shoebat is a terrorist.

4. hmm, interesting
Could they have any reason to falsely deny it? Maybe to try and convince their bank wasn't attacked? Doubtful, but just wondering...

6. Eh
This seems very unlikely to me. More likely is the guy is a storyteller.
