Thanks for the help Sarah Palin!
Back in the eighties, my husband allowed a friend of his to talk him into changing his voter registration to Republican. (At the time, he was working as a DeeJay and as a board operator for a radio station that played Rush Limbaugh and he had to hear three hours of that doo doo head every day, so it was probably easier for his friend to talk him into the change than it should have been.)

In the nineties, he danced with the idea of changing back to a Democratic registration, but finally decided to keep the Republican registration because often times we have elections where the Republican candidates had no other party opposer, thus only Republican voters decided who got won the office (during the primaries). All non Republicans were unable to vote in those elections. In keeping his registration Republican, at least one of us got to put in our two cents on those ballots.

Every election year, we receive sample ballots about a week before the elections and I would fill out my husbands sample ballot with whom to vote for or to vote against.

This year there were several offices up for grabs where I didn't know anything about the Republicans running for the offices. I tried to pick the least known candidates figuring that it would take at least one vote away from the seriously unwanted candidate.

There were four candidates running for Attorney General, and not knowing who three of them were, I picked one named Bondi. I had already voted and was waiting for my husband to get home to give him the sample ballot from which to vote, when I checked my telephone messages (there were 20 of them and all political calles except one).

The third from last as Sarah Palin gushing about this candidate for Attorney General and what a Good Prosecutor she was. The candidates name was Bondi.

I picked up my pencil, erased the oval next to Bondi's name and picked at random one of the other two names I didn't recognize.

Anyone who choses to be endorsed by and have telephone ads done by Sarah Palin isn't someone I'm willing to give my husband's vote too.

So thanks for the heads up, Sarah. You saved me from guiding my husband to a big mistake!

1. So you are admitting to voting for someone else? Isn't that a crime?

2. How so? He votes for himself, but asks my advice first. I give him my advice
and he takes it or leaves it as he wishes at the voting booth.

A sample ballot is not an official ballot and filling that out for him breaks no laws at all.

As I'm sure you are aware by the evil grin and the hiding guy. But some who might stumble on this site might not be.

3. Oh, ok. One statement led me to conclude otherwise.
