Comey is a pretty rigid law-n-order republican. And he views these snakes as being way outside the law, and a threat to the Constitution.

It has always been an error to view this as being "merely" an NSA program. It is a coordinated attack on the Bill of Rights, that includes a wide range of agencies at the local, state, and federal level. It's un-American.
