5. I once met the president of the organization. |

He wasn't very happy to be recognized, though, because of where we were.

9. I've met quite a few in gay chat rooms. I used to attract them |
|
for some reason. Boy, did they regret trying to strike up a conversation with me. I am ashamed of my intolerance sometimes.

3. I wouldn't call them dumb. I'd call them selfish |

Like every other Republican, the Log Cabin ones only care about their money to the point where they will vote against their own best interests just to save a few bucks in taxes.
Ok, they're dumb, too.

Like MOST other Republican, the Log Cabin ones only care about to the point where they will vote against their own best interests just to save a few bucks in taxes if they ever get rich enough for it to matter.
Ok, they're dumb, too.

7. People tend to deal with their own sexuality in their own way... |
|
I feel sorry for this lout. I have no idea what his particular situation is, but having seen far too many homosexuals kept in a self hating state of mind over the fear of coming out... and even to the point where they lash out at homosexuality... that I can't condemn this poor fool. Yes, he's done some truly heinous things... but do we know what heinous things he's dealt with in his life? No, we don't.
He's trying to make things right... good luck with that, but still... I can't beat him up anymore than I can beat up any other closeted gay who lashes out against his/her own reality.

I can see how a gay person could be a republican, but of course the Democrats are the more friendly party for them.

As a gay man he actively led a campaign that used homophobia as a central theme. He is not just evil, he is also a coward.

14. It's going to be very difficult to undo the marriage amendments |
|
that was a result of the cynical strategy of demonizing gay people created by Karl Rove...which Ken Mehlman acquiesced in.
One of the absolute worst moments in my life was watching the State of the Union address, when the President of the United States declared that our rightful demands for legal recognized marriage was a "threat", that could only be dealt with by a Federal Constituional Marriage ban. We were demonized at the very highest level of the United States Government...and Ken Mehlman was RNC Chair at the time.
Ken Mehlman is going to have to do some very serious penance for his actions. Some in the GLBT community refuses to accept him. I don't blame them.
