Crist in 2008 Said Palin Could Be a Great President
Greg Sargent obtains a video clip of Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (I) in October of 2008 claiming that Sarah Palin would do "a great job" as president, and gushing about her qualifications. (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/plum-line/2010/08/flashback_crist_said_palin_wou.html)

He notes this isn't going to help Crist in his battle with Rep. Kendrick Meek (D) for Democratic support in the U.S. Senate race.

Here's the video:

1. Then one has to wonder about Crist's judgement
Not to mention his (apparent lack of) common sense.

2. We may need a corollary to IOKIYAR
"It's okay if you used to be a Republican." After all, Charlie was currying favor with the nitwit brigade that had taken over the Republican party, so he had to say nice things about the Quitta from Wasilla. But now that he's trying to appeal to sentient voters again, he has a whole new set of standards to adopt. "I'm sorry, but those are my principles. If you don't like them, well, I have others."

Besides, it wouldn't be sensible to keep throwing Mr. Crist's record back in his face. He's trying to win an election, and it just isn't the Democrats' place to mess with that.

3. Meek is using Crist's own words against him
I think it will work with the Dems. Plus Kendrick is going to be a great candidate. Can't wait to beat Rubio!!!
