“When you're born you get a ticket to the freak show. When you're born in America, you get a front row seat!"
No truer words have ever been said Mr. Carlin!

1. I miss him. He was brilliant. He really knew now to say it as he saw through |

all of the non ending BS in this country. Born in American will definitely get you a front row seat in the freak show called America. It's definitely a 5 star show!

I'll never understand why he had to leave during this time of intense fuckery. It's like I felt when Rage Against the Machine broke up before W took office. Or when Hunter S Thompson decided to finally end it. I guess maybe Carlin figured the overabundance of material just wasn't challenge enough for him anymore, so why not?

4. he was one of the great comedians |

But toward the end of his life, whimsy was replaced with deep bitterness. I don't necessarily blame him. There's a lot in this world to be bitter about. But for me, it made his final HBO special very unpleasant and nearly unwatchable. He was still great and insightful in the occasional interview, though.

6. Loved listening to him to the end. |

He expressed the rage and bitterness I felt watching corps take over the government for 30 years. His commentary on life in america, especially right before he died was brilliant and spot on.
