What are the worst arguments against the GZ mosque that you've heard?

4. Just because they have the right to build it doesn't mean it's appropriate.

No shit.

Just because one can make the distinction between the legal capacity to perform an action and the social desirability of taking that action doesn't make building a mosque or a community center wrong.


Why is it inappropriate? You never get a clear and rational answer to that from people who make the claim in the subject line. It's usually just a bit of mushy nonsense about respecting the wishes of the public without defending why this public has a reasonable basis for opposing the project.
