This Is the Hottest Year Ever, and the Climate Catastrophe Has Begun

Thank god man-made global warming was proven to be a hoax. Just imagine what the world might have looked like now if those conspiring scientists had been telling the truth. No doubt NASA would be telling us that this year is now, so far, http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE66F4SF20100716">the hottest since humans began keeping records. The weather satellites would show that http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/07/100726-heat-wave-hottest-year-2010-global-warming-science-environment/">even when heat from the sun significantly dipped earlier this year, the world still got hotter. Russia's vast forests would be burning to the ground in the fiercest drought they have ever seen, turning the air black in Moscow, killing 15,000 people, and forcing foreign embassies to evacuate. Because warm air holds more water vapor, the world's storms would be hugely increasing in intensity and violence -- drowning one fifth of Pakistan, and causing giant mudslides in China.

The world's ice sheets would be sloughing off massive melting chunks http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/08/100806161859.htm">four times the size of Manhattan. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/51913ed6-9e60-11df-a5a4-00144feab49a.html">The cost of bread would be soaring across the world as heat shriveled the wheat crops. http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/climate-change/the-dead-sea-global-warming-blamed-for-40-per-cent-decline-in-the-oceans-phytoplankton-2038074.html">The increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would be fizzing into the oceans, making them more acidic and so killing 40 percent of the phytoplankton that make up the irreplaceable base of the oceanic food chain. The denialists would be conceding at last that everything the climate scientists said would happen -- with their pesky graphs and studies and computers -- came to pass.

This is all happening today, except for that final stubborn step. It's hard to pin any one event on man-made global warming: There were occasional freak weather events before we started altering the atmosphere, and on their own, any of these events could be just another example. But they are, cumulatively, part of a plain pattern where extreme weather is occurring "http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/15/science/earth/15climate.html">with greater frequency and in many cases with greater intensity" as the temperature soars, as the US National Climatic Data Center puts it. This is exactly what climate scientists have been warning us man-made global warming will look like, to the letter. Ashen-faced, they add that all this is coming after less than one degree celsius of global warming since the Industrial Revolution. http://www.johannhari.com/2007/03/30/-six-degrees-our-future-on-a-hotter-planet-by-mark-lynas">We are revving up for as much as five degrees more this century.

Yet as the evidence of global warming becomes ever clearer, the momentum to stop it has died. The Copenhagen climate summit evaporated, Barack Obama has given up on passing any climate change legislation, Hu Jintao is heaving even more coal, David Cameron has shot his huskies, and even sweet liberal Canada now has a government determined to pioneer a fuel -- tar sands -- that causes three times more warming than oil. True, the victims are starting to see the connections. The Russian President Dmitri Medvedev has been opposed to meaningful action on global warming, until he found the smoke-choked air in the Kremlin hard to breathe. But if we wait until every leader can taste the effects of warming in their mouths, the damage will be irreparable.

It was still hot and uncomfortable. Today its back to normal.. thank goodness. On Tuesday morning at 1am it was 76 degrees, and it was hard as hell to sleep! (No AC, just a fan)

4. The Deniers will pivot on a dime
They will go, overnight, from "Global warming is a hoax" to "There's nothing we can do about it." It will happen so fast and so seamlessly with the active connivance of the popular media, you're liable to get whiplash if you're watching too closely.

13. And they'll be right for once. Because by the time they get around
to being willing to admit it, it is likely to be too late. We may all be dislocated like the people in Pakistan just trying to survive.

12. I did see a report a while ago by some scientists saying that
these disasters have to be considered as concrete evidence of Climate Change. They didn't issue definite findings yet, but it's hard not to think that things are changing faster than anticipated.

Excellent OP as usual Turbo ...

15. It's funny you should say that...
When I uploaded this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVVyWwYU3XE I got the assclown you can see me responding to at the top of the comments constantly spamming me with loads of badly made videos of it snowing where he lived as PROOF!1! that it's actually "Globla Cooling"(sic) happening.

They were meant to be video responses to the video I had uploaded (the one linked to above) and I instantly rejected them all, of course. lol

17. I honestly believe the reason this extremely deadly issue concerning our present and future
has become too horrific for some to contemplate considering the very real horrors awaiting perhaps us but almost surely our both present younger generation as well as future ones...I believe the average human worldwide fails to believe or even hopes to be able to offer and help in altering or even slowing down the coming man made catastrophe, and it is not only present day humans who must take full accountability but even those that have come before us though many long since leave not a trace of their existance...

So many I talk to have come to believe that no matter what they do or say the coming future days of man kind in the side has become inevitable...

So they sigh about the heat hoping for whatever winter will bring will do it soon and thats about it for 99 percent...

I think far too many have simply given up and continue with what they have come to count on and understand....leaving the unthinkable in that one void where old thoughts seem to disapear...

without our leadership worldwide at least attempting a bit more loudly and vigorously aiding the average citizen with proposed ideas in helping to at least slow down climate change and it's horrific effects instead of the stupidity of who is in power being the main issue seemingly pushed out of not only sight but mind to which therefore controls much of the energy away from what truly matters we are indeed on the losing end, no relief in site...

Its easy to see that not only outside in our everyday lives but here hidden deep inside cy-ber space with places such as this very one that the main issue being cared about on a daily basis has been what the media, religious leaders and political leaders have declared should be thought about period..

very strange and eerie to see how so many of us are so easily led, many without even realizing or admitting to this very real phenomenon that leaves free thought but in illusion...

K&R because this issue and going away any time soon...
