We better prepqre for a loss in the Mid-term elections
Edited on Fri Aug-27-10 03:27 PM by Jeffersons Ghost
Democratic candidates are trying to divert the issue: But they won't deal with the real problem - the economy. Instead of blaming Bush they allow media to turn it into a diatribe about a "Ground-zero Mosque. Bush put all the economic problems in place; and Democrats allow this to become the issue. In summation, we're as screwed as Social Security.

Once the Republicans take control of Congress Social Security will be privatized. The Obama lame-duck will easily fly away with our loot.

All in all, it appears that Democrats set the stage for America to self-distruct.

5. Well first of all, way to give up and run before the first shot is even fired.
And secondly, should the Republicans somehow capture Congress, no way will they have the votes to privatize SS even to get it passed through both House and Senate, let alone enough to override a Presidential veto.

6. Obama and Congress could have hit the ground running with the attitude of having two years
to accomplish as much as they could and let the chips fall where they may. They could have rammed through single payer, real financial reform and investigated/prosecuted all the criminality of the Bush years. Instead they lollygagged around, tried to be pals with the Republicans and got nowhere. They didn't get anything done, and guess what, they're STILL going to lose control of Congress. Enjoy your minority status, Democrats. You've earned it.
