Ben Stein Tells Unemployed They're Lazy, Again

August 27, 2010 5:03 pm ET by Joe Strupp

You have to hand it to Ben Stein of American Spectator, he's consistent.

Just last month, he wrote that most unemployed have "poor work habits, poor personalities."

In another post today, he did it again, writing:

... here is an interesting note: there are high levels of unemployment but the employers I talk to say there are severe labor shortages of skilled labor at every level from carpenters and plumbers to CEO's of biotech companies. And, as noted before, in my small circle of friends, anyone who has good work skills and a decent personality can get a job. I am not talking about the national scene. Just my little world. The chronic complainers and the malcontents and the unrealistic are the ones who cannot find work they want. The people who really want to work can get work. It might not be great work, but it's work.

1. On the whole, poor people are the LEAST lazy people on earth
Ben Stein is a FOOL.

Look at any low-wage worker & you will see a very tired, frustrated person, who just does not have enough hours in the day or patience for another job.

I know a woman who works part-time at a 99cent store, waitresses on the weekends and she also does seamstressing in her home. This woman meets herself coming & going, and yet every day is a struggle for her, especially since her daughter & 3 kids have moved in with her..in her 2 bedroom apartment.

they are poor and always on the verge of being unemployed.

17. ben stein's idea of "work" is making ads trying to convince people to get a "free" credit report
Edited on Sat Aug-28-10 04:44 AM by Hannah Bell
that's not free.

he's a whore. his idea of "work".

all these damn whores, liars, scammers, teat-suckers, parasites -- telling poor people *they're* inadequate, it would be funny if it weren't so deadly.

3. "Small circle of friends...little world"
What a fuckwad. Severe labor shortages, my ass. Severe job shortages thanks to Stein's CEO pals who've spent the last decade sending as many jobs out the country while low-balling the remaining wage slaves they deign to keep on the payroll.

DOUCHE!

4. Why would a poor person want to work 70 hours a week at 7 dollars an hour
when they hear a RICH IDIOT blab on and on about bullshit and makes millions working a no skilled job (working for the Amercian Spectator)? The hardest workers are the poor and the laziest workers on earth are the rich elites like Benny the Idiot.

Ferris Buellers Day Off.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1rRrPXbMKM

How many caught the Hercules vest he wore. It was a Greek movie, with concepts of some having everything go right for them.

But a great movie, sorta

The humor is how meticulously someone cut together that clip, Stiff neck is biblical, then they have a cursing in it, and use black and white, and the wink, lots of stuff in that. Plus the regular clips of that were blocked from youtube.

Pretty funny.

Although I like parts of it :)

Here is the movie version :) Found a clip of it.

Maybe he can open his own employment agency and put his supposition into practice.

Otherwise...
