I'm a Racist Idiot, And All I Got Was This Stupid T-Shirt

"Reader J. Peach took this picture at today's "Glenn Beck Restores America" poetry slam and cookout. All of this man's racist shirts that actually make sense were at the cleaners."

2. Mauitania? Huh never heard of that country.
I'm assuming that the t-shirt producers had some form of spell checking, didn't they?

On a different note, the message on the shirt seems to be a classical case of the logical fallacy known as "two wrongs make a right".

5. It's the classic defense of a five year old
"But Mom, Billy does it, too ... and Bobby did it first!"

:P

3. So it's Saudia Arabia for religious freedom and "Mauitania" for slavery.

Got it.

Damn! It's so hard to keep track of which country's policies we're following.

On edit: It's funny ... they don't even do a spell check before investing money in T-shirts! (I assume they mean Mauritania?)

On edit 2: Thankfully, they spelled "Niger" correctly.

6. My favorite comment at the link to the story:
"Mauitania sounds like a roller-coaster ride at Six Flags Maui"

8. The question is
what goes through the mind of someone who wants to wear a shirt like that?

Is he trying to somehow lessen the moral atrocity that was slavery in America? Why? Why would anyone want to do that?
I'm truly at a loss to explain it in any way that doesn't conclude that the man is an ignorant, racist, fool.

And the misspelling, of course, just kicks it up another notch.
