Good news everyone!
Charles Krauthammer predicts a resounding defeat for the Dems. Mr. Alwayswrong's prediction here,if you can stomach it:

The Democrats are going to get beaten badly in November. Not just because the economy is ailing. And not just because Obama overread his mandate in governing too far left. But because a comeuppance is due the arrogant elites whose undisguised contempt for the great unwashed prevents them from conceding a modicum of serious thought to those who dare oppose them.

1. He's going to denounce the "arrogant elites"?
This is a joke right?

2. Consider who is stating so, it should be.........
But Krauthammer is capable of actually believing so.

3. If the Democrats suffer at the polls this year, it *certainly* won't be because

Obama has governed too far to the *left*. I can't believe that anyone who is smart enough to fasten a necktie could read the Obama Administration as left-wing.

Maybe he wears clip-ons.

...

It does raise an interesting question for me, however. How would our resident DLCers read a Democratic loss this year? I assume they wouldn't believe it was because Obama has governed too far to the left. They rejoice at his willingness to "compromise" and claim he's doing everything just right. So... if Dems *do* lose, what will they blame? You can't blame the voters-- it's the politicians who lose races, not the voters.

4. I kind of drifted after the phrase "too far left",,,
just sort of zoned into a fantasy wondering what that would be like IRL.

7. Is he describing Republicans?
Huh? I'm confused. This sounds like a summary of the GOP during the Bush years: "the arrogant elites whose undisguised contempt for the great unwashed prevents them from conceding a modicum of serious thought to those who dare oppose them."
