Perspective: "Tens of thousands" go see a team in last place, 6 times a week, just two miles away.

OK, so Glenn Beck attracted "Tens of thousands" to the Lincoln memorial.

Let's put this in perspective.

On any given day, there are dozens of events going on across the country - sports events, music concerts, plays, that have "tens of thousands" of people showing up. Do they blast the news over the airwaves?

Just a mile or two away, the lowly Washington Nationals baseball team gets "tens of thousands" of people going to their baseball games on a regular basis. I looked it up and their average attendance is ~23,000.

now let's really put this in the proper prespective...

The Nats are in last place. By definition they are Losers. (sorry Nats fans).

So whatever just happened at the Lincoln memorial is no big deal. It already happens almost daily in Washington... "Tens of thousands of people gather to see a loser"
