You can tell because he puts the emPHAsis on the wrong sylLAbles, and breathes in the wrong places. Of course, a coach could improve his delivery.

It's almost like he is singing one of those "modern" hymns that some churches inflict on their long-suffering and bewildered congregations, where nothing scans, the rhythms are dreadful, and the melody not melodic at all.
