In 1992, 87% of voters were white. 8% black and 2% hispanic.
In 2008, it was 74% white, 13% black and 9% hispanic.
I bet by 2020, Republicans will not be able to win another presidential election.

From what I heard of his speech, it was just awful. So, I don't think he is going to manage it.
It is obvious, however, that the appeal to minority voters is going to be based on religion. So, watch out for that. Democrats need to show how hypocritical Republicans are on the subject of religion. It should be very easy.
Ayn Rand, I do believe, was an atheist. It would be hard to reconcile libertarianism with Christianity. I don't think that a serious reader of the New Testament could do that.
