free clinic NOLA day 1 set up (pics)
it was a long day and the folks organizing said that they were hours ahead of what they had hoped... the volunteers worked hard and it was awesome. There were folks from NY, WA, MA, MI, IN, IL, VT, FL, TN, NC, TX, KS, MO, LA, CA and probably a few other states that I didn't track down. They fed us very well! I had hoped to write about the entire day but I am tired and need to get rested up for tomorrow the first day of the actually clinic. (I did go over to the French Quarter for a bit before heading back to the hotel)

the pictures are really just snapshots... I was too busy to try to get quality pictures... Thanks to everyone who donated!!!!

1. Thanks for the pics, and thanks for being there!
If I had the time/money, I would happily have volunteered.

2. I am so pleased that
I could make it... I don't have enough opportunities to do these things and it is such a wonderful rush to be there with all the super-cool people that help... We all had a good time and got a lot done... Tomorrow should be good!

5. k and r--thank you for being there, thank you for the pics.
and thanks to all who are volunteering, all who donated to make this possible.

just think, if we had a decent health care system, like they do in civilized countries, such massive humanitarian efforts would not be necessary.

7. I want to add a shoutout
to Keith Olberman... most of the people there said they heard it on Countdown and that was their inspiration... :applause:
