I have been banned from RSOE - what does the following statement mean

---
Ön látogatása, vagy az oldalhoz kezdeményezett cselekménye biztonsági kockázatot jelent,
ezért az oldalhoz történő hozzáférése megtagadva! IP címe naplózva!

Considering the possible security risk of your visit the access has been restricted.
Your IP address has been logged.
---

does this mean that without me knowing, a negative of some kind is going thru my pc and into RSOE and causing trouble?

I can go to the site map but not to the text of the event.

6. The question asked is important. Without some sort of answer,
it's impossible to analyze the problem. How do you suppose someone here can tell you what happened unless you offer some information about how you connect to the site.

For example, if you use a redirection service to mask your actual IP address, many sites block all IP addresses from those services. If your ISP is suspected of distributing malware, your IP address may be blocked by sites.

You see, there are many people here who might be able to help you with this, but you are choosing to disregard the requests for information. You can't be harmed by telling us how you connect to the Internet and what service you use to connect.

Give us some info to work with or forget trying to get to that site. We won't be able to help.

BTW, I just went to your Hungarian disaster site, and could see everything without any difficulty. I access it via my Comcast broadband connection, as I do all my web browsing.

let me into RSOE yesterday.

nothing has changed since yesterday or months.

for yrs. I've had to deal with problems when I have RSOE in a window. I've learned to copy what I want and change to another site. don't let RSOE be in a window for very long.

(I don't speak computer, sorry)

I thought RSOE for some reason was giving just me a problem. I didn't know RSOE had a problem from me.

11. My guess that your dynamic IP was changed recently.
That happens when your IP lease expires, and you renew for a new one, and sometimes you pick up an unfortunate IP that is blocked. It's easily fixed - just turn off your modem for 30 seconds - disconnecting the power cord - then plug it back in. A new IP should change.

Whatisyourip.com will tell you what your IP is (I suggest you do this before you restart the modem so you know your old IP address) and once the modem has restarted, do whatisyourip.com and compare it - if they are different, then try rsoe again and see if it works. You do not need to tell us your IP address - that is for your information to see if they have changed the IP address

Worked for me just fine.

13. I'd be leery of any site that causes you problems after you've
been on it a while. Hungarian-based sites are commonly the source for malware. I'm not saying that site has that problem, but lots of hackers are based in Eastern Europe, and operate using sites with servers in those areas to do their harm.

I'm just saying...

14. It was important - agreed. If you connect from an "Internet cafe", you're on shared IPs.
The same is true if you connect from a hotel. On the plus side, the "ban" is on the visible side of the router (associated with the Internet cafe or hotel), not your machine. Your computer will have a non-routable IP address like 192.168.1.105 and the outside world can't see that.

So yes, it was an important question, but if you answered "$tarbuck$", then not only are you paying too much for shitty coffee, but some asshole screwed up access to that site for everyone who tries to connect to it from that particular rip-off coffee stand.

7. Here's the website he/she is talking about:
http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/

It's a Hungarian-based site that catalogs all sorts of natural and man-made incidents from harmless things to major disasters. The OP posts a lot of reports from that site here on DU.

5. Hmm...maybe they're just tired of seeing their stuff on
DU. Who knows?

Here's a question? Are you using an redirecting service to mask your IP address? If so, all of those are known, and many sites block access to people who use them.
