Lisa was 30 points ahead of Scott McAdams, the Democratic candidate, in a head-to-head match-up. Miller only leads by eight, and that poll was taken before the "oldest profession" tweet. Up until primary day, McAdams was virtually unknown outside of Southeast Alaska but since the election, he's been getting more and more positive publicity. Miller had been out slandering Lisa for the previous weeks acting like an asshole while Lisa ran a clean campaign. Who looks better?

All the drama and histrionics of the past few days from the Miller camp are only serving to make Scott McAdams look more and more viable. McAdams is picking up endorsements right and left and will have the full support of the national and state Democratic parties.

Almost 70 percent of Alaska's voters are independent or undeclared. They aren't going to like Miller more than McAdams.

This is the best possible thing that could have happened to us.

16. I suppose
But Miller's win only reinforces the Palin woman's power. And it shows the wingnuts have the capability to actually put one of their own in power.

2. Yeah...
I'm watching that now. Don't know a whole lot about Joe Miller, but what I do know, isn't good. :-(

5. I just saw Lisa on the screen. Well, I respect her for not
draging it out for a long time. I suspect she saw enough of the counting & where the votes were coming from & knewshe wasn't going to win. I detested her for many of the votes she made while i office, especially the one in favor of BP! But that's over now. I'm glad her opponent won & I HOPE the Dem candidate gets enough $$ to expose all the stupid positions this nut job Pub has.

8. He also wants to do away with medicare! On the Sunday show he was asked
if wanting to eliminate medicare & reduce SS werent going to be a problem for him in the Nov. election, and he said NO! He added some BS about studying it but I can't believe Alaskans heard anything beyond the initial statement. I sure HOPE I'm right and they flatten him.

11. Did you hear her whole concession speech?
I thought it was interesting that she didn't tell her supporters to get behind Joe Miller's campaign. The Republican Party up here has been seriously fractured since Sarah Palin showed up on the scene. She's the most divisive person I've ever run across.

13. She can't.
She's not allowed by state law to do that.

She's out now, but could run a write-in campaign, I suppose, although that would be a long-shot. I'd love it if she'd throw her support to Scott McAdams. Now, THAT would be the ultimate diss to the 'cuda.
