They do very slow flyovers of various states and places. They give a narrative of the place, the history, contemporary stories, or both. The photography is excellent, the narration clear. Some of the stories they tell are necessarily brief, sometimes overly so, but it is fascinating and enjoyable nonetheless.

are on 'public' tv, the PBS channels, for pledge drive. It's called "Over Italy", "Over Scotland", etc. It's nice stuff to watch, and you see about 10 times more than you see if you spend a fortune and go there. dc
