2. After 9-11, this kind of bigotry was roundly scorned and recognized as ignorance |

Now it is celebrated by people who are trying to sell radio programs and a TV "network."

3. I know. It seems like people reacted less to anti-islam after 9/11 than today. I guess the wingnuts |
|
are much further gone. Thinking for themselves must be such a distant memory that teapartiers/wingnuts have no recollection of a world where people are judged for who they are and not because of some pundit/windbags words.

4. May I suggest that W's "crusade" comment may have elicited a butterfly effect felt yet today? |
|
And further suggest that it may not be as most would assume?
Having campaigned as a TRUE BELIEVER(tm) - when GWB announced we were on a Crusade against "Al-Ky-da" it set off alarm bells all over the Muslim world. He spent the rest of his appointment trying to prove he wasn't the CIC of a religious war of the Republicans against the Muslims.
Faux and the others had no acceptable alternative (at the time) other than to leave it alone.
It's different now.
