I was asked recently which of the political leaders I had met had most integrity: I listed George near the top. In what was a fairly liberal audience, some people were aghast. Others tittered, thinking I was joking. But I meant it. He had genuine integrity, and as much political courage as any leader I ever met …

1. New Labour Tony Blair was worse than Old Conservative John Major.
Of course, 13th Century Walking Corpse Thatcher was the worst of them all.

isn't it strange that all those worse and worst leaders were
elected democratically by the majority of the nation. others
will be in future.

3. Bush did have political courage.
He did what he wanted as he wanted regardless of what the voters said.

That's very easy to do when you know the game is rigged though.

4. I have to disagree...he did what he was TOLD when it came to policy decisions...
...he did what he wanted on his many, many, MANY weeks of vacation..
