America is addicted to unfairness |

God forbid that anyone gets a fair deal in this country.
The loudest voices are always the ones trying to screw someone else over.
People even go out of their way to screw the "unworthy", even if they have screw themselves over to do it.
Too many people are afraid of extending a fair deal to the "other", because somehow it'll come back and bite them in the ass.
Oh, please don't help people in general, because there will be hell to pay if not enough attention is paid to themselves instead of the unworthy others.
And most of all, very few people actually know how things are supposed to work, they only know that things aren't working the way that they want it to be.
No wonder we're screwed up so much in this country.

3. It sure does seem that way a lot of the time |
|
and I'd add that we seem to like punishing ourselves and/or simply making things harder on ourselves than we need to. How is that we're able to look ourselves in the mirror and say that we're living in the world's greatest country in the world when our quality of life is less than that of other countries like Canda, UK, France, etc. and people in said countries have free (or near free) universal health care, childcare, college, decent wages, strong unions, etc? How is that people are able to say with a straight face that any efforts to provide some of these same benefits to the citizens of this country are part of a left-wing totalitarian plot??
:wtf:

6. People are are addicted to hate and unfairness. It's human nature.. |
|
and it goes back to the beginning of time. As one who has read the Bible, one of the first things that stuck out to me is the continuing refrain of how there were always people who want to be better than others. There were always people who wanted to oppress others. Mainly, just so they can feel superior and better about themselves.

7. Interesting how the strongest and most resilient economy in the developed world |
|
one that never fell into the great recession, has the motto (instilled in its national character) of A FAIR GO FOR ALL.

8. Perhaps too many of us mistake "the pursuit of happiness" to |
|
mean "the pursuit of money." We are an awfully materialistic society. And the pursuit of materialism can lead to greed and unfairness, but never lead to happiness.
