Creepy connection to guy in Discovery Channel shooting today
A friend posted this on Facebook tonight:

So, from the "pretty weird" department...the guy in this picture I took "crashed" our "Shoe Bush" anti war demo on Jan.19, 2009 with this "To Hell With The Troops" sign, and he is the same guy that took hostages and was shot dead by snipers today near D.C. at Silver Springs. This picture was at the White House.

It is nuclear skull and bones from popcorn John.

Don't you guys understand all this stuff, do you really not see it?

And it is in the form of a compliment.

Anyone know what faction runs Discovery channel, education I would guess. Some good shows on it.

Biggest shows, Ice truckers, Fishing show, Myth busters, dirty jobs, what else?

Odd that the 'op' went after Discovery channel. Seems to be inter media feud, would be best guess.

14. I seem to remember people getting mad at him.
I don't recall well because I was fixated on getting good photos of the shoe-throwing at the White House. It happened pretty quickly once it happened, so I needed to get a good vantage point.

28. protestwarrior.com actually had a very similar sign
about not caring about the deaths iraqi babies . I can't remember exactly what it said .
but while looking at the protest warrior website I saw a picture of a guy with an assault
rifle in sniper position on a rooftop wearing a T-shirt that said "If voting doesn't work
vote from the rooftops" ... very creepy people x( and this was while their guy was president
and they had both majorities .

21. One thing is pretty certain. People who are demonstrating
for peace are not inciting anyone to violence. Supporters of nonviolence cannot be accused of encouraging violence. It is very important for us to make clear in all of our actions that we will do everything possible to stop violence without using violence.

It is counterproductive to demonstrate to protect the environment in any kind of violent way, I would say.

26. It's always strange when you realize that sometimes you are close to these sorts of people.
It was really strange when it turned out that one of my friends in high school turned out to be a pedophile.

Probably the weirdest thing to happen to me was when I was looking for day labor, back when I was in Springfield during the mid-late eighties. An old farmer walked in looking for help on his farm. I wasn't particularly fond of farm work, but would have taken it if my name had been up, but as it turns out there was a guy ahead of me who took the job. A few years later, I turned on the TV and saw the old man again. He was being arrested for multiple murders of drifters and such. His name was Ray Copeland, the serial murderer.

27. Andrew Cunanan, Trench Coat Robbers still gives me shivers.
Edited on Thu Sep-02-10 08:34 AM by kickysnana
I was traveling with my parents in their RV and we stopped for gas in central Ohio. A young man in a tuxedo and pointy cowboy boots came up to my Dad as he was filling the tanks and said he had just come from his sister's wedding and was looking for a ride into Pennsylvania. We were only going to Warren.

I thought I recognized him from the news and was not about to let my Dad give him a ride. But I was not going to go so far as to say it was him. He moved on to someone else. Later my Mom said. "He sure looked like that guy from the TV on the murder spree".

I told her I thought so too and I was not going to have him in the RV with us even if Dad was a soft touch. Cunanan next turned up in Florida. Must have gotten some money for gas somehow.

Another time I was on my way to my Grandma's house when I passed two guys in new trench coats, jeans, cowboy hats and pointy boots again talking by a white van outside the Eagles Club. I had no cell phone but I did call the Police and tell them I thought that they were very out of place for that St Paul lower working class bar. Later that day a bank was robbed and a teller wounded. It took them 13 years to catch these guys, the Trench Coat Robbers.
