They Are Dying Like Flies At Ft. Stewart
unhappycamper note: Since the Pentagon has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, I’ve decided to give ya’ll an unhappycamper summary of the article and a link to the OP. To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.

To read the article in the military's own words, you will need to click the link.

(This space reserved for a legally correct snark dump.) It sure is beginning to smell like fascism.

unhappycamper summary of this article: Here's a tale of another mystery death on a United States military post. This one is an MP Major.

The dead soldier was identified as Maj. Paul A. Egli, a military policeman from Thompson Station, Tenn.

3. And another one at Ft. Belvoir:
Body found at Fort Belvoir

Army criminal investigators are probing the death of a man found in the woods at Fort Belvoir, an Army installation in Fairfax County.

The body was found Monday evening, said Chris Grey, a spokesman for the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command.

"We believe it's a soldier," Grey said.

Investigators are trying to establish a positive identification, and will have to notify family members before releasing the man's name, he said.

The body was found by military police, Grey said, but he declined to comment further.
