From what I have heard, the rig was not drilling nor was it producing |

I wonder what could have caused the explosion? :shrug: The news has said since it was neither drilling nor producing there would be no oil spill. Something is fishy IMO.

Generators require a fuel supply.
There are numerous reasons why an explosion could occur.
